Description:

Alexan Riverwalk is a multi-family residential development located near downtown Danville, CA.  The project consists of three-story wood framed structures over 1 podium level of concrete with subterranean parking below.  The post-tensioned concrete podium deck supports 144 luxury apartments as well as a well-landscaped courtyard with pool and spa.  FBA was the concrete structural engineer for the project and a design-build team with RJS & Associates to bring the most efficient design to the owner.  The podium footprint was approximately 86,600 square feet.

Structural system for the building is a concrete post-tensioned slab with concrete shear walls supported on spread/strip footings.
