Description:

Modera at The Alameda is a mixed-use residential development located in San Jose, CA.  The project is situated on 1.04 acres and is consists of five-story wood framed structures over 3 levels of concrete.   Two levels of underground parking is provided with 273 stalls.  The ground floor consists of an elevated concrete post-tensioned slab supporting 18,000 SF of retail and parking.  The post-tensioned concrete podium deck supports the  five-story wood frame structures and a landscaped courtyard with pool, spa, and other amenities.  FBA was the structural engineer for the concrete portion of the project.

Structural system for the building is concrete post-tensioned slabs with concrete shear walls supported on a concrete mat foundation system.
