Newell Village is a mixed-use development with residential, retail, courtyards, plazas and gardens. The Village is located in the downtown shopping area of Walnut Creek.
The design includes two-level parking garage, a retail level and above grade post-tensioned podium slab supporting 3-story wood frame structures, plaza area with a pool and extensive amenities. The two parking garage levels have a total capacity of 239 stalls. The retail level is approximately 50,000 square-feet. The podium slab supports the 49 condominium residences with a pool, courtyard, plaza area as well as private gardens.
The structural system for the building is a post-tensioned concrete slab with concrete shear walls supported on a concrete mat foundation system.
